A Wheel of Fortune contestant has left the internet in disbelief with an unforgettable blunder.
Newly engaged flight surgeon Gwen slumped in her podium after a puzzle mishap that hit a little too close to home.
On Friday's Wheel of Fortune episode, she faced off against magician slash dad Ron and mom-of-three Lynn.
Gwen, who recently said "yes" to a destination Alps proposal during a 100-mile hike, confidently attacked a three-word puzzle under "Event."
It read: “SURPRISE _ARRIA_E PROPOSA_” and with all the vowels all bought up, Gwen decided she was ready to solve.
That’s when she proudly proclaimed: “Surprise Carriage Proposal."

The cringe-inducing buzzer sounded, and Gwen dramatically collapsed on the wheel, hiding her face.
Host Pat Sajak, 77, usually armed with quips, traded his humor for sympathy.
"I know," he consoled. "Sometimes you get excited, and your mouth doesn’t say what your brain intended. I’m sorry."
Ron instantly solved the puzzle correctly as "Surprise Marriage Proposal," on the next turn, a knife twist to Gwen's misfortune.

Pat, still reeling from the awkwardness, tried to spin the situation positively.
"Well, you know you watch the show, and stuff happens like that sometimes.
"But here’s the rule, and you know this, Gwen, as a flight surgeon - put that behind you. That’s done, nothing you can do."
'SURPRISE CARRIAGE PROPOSAL!?'
Fans sped down the aisle to react on social media, where one X user wrote: “What an idiot..surprise carriage proposal. #wheeloffortune."
“SURPRISE CARRIAGE PROPOSAL?! #WheelofFortune," wrote another.
A third posted: “Surprise carriage proposal?!? And her intro story was about her BF proposing on the Alps!" recognizing the irony.
A fourth fan wrote: “Gwen, honey, WHAT?!?! Lol."
And a fifth: "Just saw the most epic Wheel of Fortune fail that I can’t believe.”
PUZZLING WRONG ANSWERS!
Incorrect answers on the long-running game show never cease to amaze fans- in fact, they seemingly never cease.
Recently, a contestant named Gishma went viral for her miss under the category "Show Biz."
The puzzle read: “TH_’ _RITI_S’ ‘_GR_E,’ prompting Gishma to venture into the realm of fantasy with her response: “The British Ogre.”
"Uh, no," Pat ruled, and a rival swooped in with the correct answer: "The Critics Agree."
One viewer wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “This girl guessed 'The British Ogre' on Wheel of Fortune, and the second-hand embarrassment was overwhelming.
"She wouldn’t even look at the camera for a sec. I feel bad, but man, that sh** was funny.”
Another drummed up an idea: “The British Ogre sounds like a cool band name. #WheelofFortune.”
