A MUM has revealed her tip for getting streak-free windows, and she says that you should avoid glass cleaner.
Taking to her Instagram account, Mrs D’s Cleaning Reviews, she revealed that she uses deionised water from Tesco to get her glass sparkling clean.

She wrote: “I have a mist bottle with Deionised water in. I get asked a lot,what do use it for?
“Well I use it to clean my windows, Mirrors and my glass shower screens. I always get a streak free finish and the bonus is, it's none toxic and cheap to buy.”
Mrs D, from Chorley, explained that you can pick up 2.5L of the water from Tesco for just £1.50 and it will last longer than glass or window cleaner.
She added: “I hate using window/glass cleaners products.
“Yes my windows and Mirrors always look clean when using it, but as soon as the sun light hits them I can see every single smear and streak that the glass/window cleaner has left behind, which make them look dirty.
“You can use vinegar to clean your windows but this leave a nasty smell.
“Deionised water has no minerals in which means it just pure water, it will not only clean your windows or mirrors perfectly but leave them gleaming without any smears.
“So, Put down your normal glass and window cleaner! and try Deionised water….You'll never look back and you will always have crystal clear windows and Mirrors.”
She shared her tip with her 40,000 strong Instagram following, who were keen to try it for themselves.
Thanking her one wrote: "Got mine and absolutely love it - super for the inside car windows too."
"Oh I’m going to get some of this next I go to Tesco’s" another added.
"I’ve tried so many different window cleaning products and none of them have every given me a streak free finish. "
