MODELS were warned about going home with Russell Brand because he could get “nasty” if people did not sleep with him, it was claimed last night.

Agents would apparently sit them down to tell them the comic and actor, 48, could get “angry” if they “fooled round” but did not go all the way with him.

Brand’s fellow comedian Cole Parker, who worked with him between 2000 and 2002, made the claims after Brand was accused of rape and sexual assault – which he strongly denies.

Parker told BBC Newsnight that Brand “had a reputation” in the modelling industry.

He said: “A lot of the modelling agents would sit down and tell their models… warn them about him.

“Things like, people go back to his house and they fool around, and then if they didn’t want to go all the way, he had a reputation for sometimes getting angry or a bit nasty if people wouldn’t sleep with him the first time.

“And given the fact that he was a celebrity, very good-looking man, very funny, he didn’t really need to sort of operate that way.

“There would have been plenty of people who would have been happy to get themselves involved in a dalliance with him, he didn’t have to go with people who were reluctant to do so.”

The latest development came as broadcast union Bectu said the BBC should have “thoroughly investigated” the star in 2019, when bosses were told he had once flashed a woman in a Beeb office.

He allegedly put his penis in his hand and “served” it to the woman, known as Olivia, at the BBC News LA office in 2008 – then joked about it moments later on his pre-recorded Radio 2 show.

Olivia says she let Brand and his team into the building, where she worked for a different company.

She says she went to the bathroom to get medication, then saw Brand appear behind her and allegedly tell her: “Oh, I think you’re a bit of all right”.

Brand said he would call her Betty but Olivia said it was not her name – and he allegedly said: “Well, I’m gonna f*** you” to which she replied: “No, you’re not.”

Olivia claims Brand then exposed himself, saying he “served” his penis “as you would be serving someone food”.

On the show – which was broadcast by the BBC – Brand’s co-host Matt Morgan said: “It’s been 25 minutes since he showed his willy to a lady.”

Brand says: “Very easy to judge! Very easy to judge!”

Brand is then heard laughing in the background as Morgan says: “He got told off for ringing a bell, minutes later he’s showing his willy.”

Yesterday, Bectu boss Philippa Childs told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “The BBC should have thoroughly investigated the complaint, looked into the circumstances around that particular broadcast and taken action then.

“Had they done so, we might not be in the situation that we’re in now many years later looking into various allegations around Russell Brand.”

The BBC is now investigating and has appealed for information.

Brand did not respond to a request for comment on Parker’s claims.

He has denied “serious criminal allegations”.
