A TUB of gel from Poundland has been hailed a "miracle" by social media users who claim it eases back pain in just one application.
Masterplast's Freeze Gel, which is currently sold for £1, works by being rubbed onto painful areas and then cools to soothe sore muscles.
One woman with sciatica - a pain in the nerve which runs from your hips to your feet - shared her experience of using the 300ml product on Facebook.
Writing in the group Extreme Couponing and Bargains, she said: "You need to try this! if you have sciatica like me, arthritis or just plain muscle aches, this stuff is brilliant.
"I've had medication from the doctors and still in pain, pop this on and it does the job only £1 in Poundland."

Facebook userShe later amended her post to say that you can't use the gel while pregnant.
It quickly went viral with more than 9,000 comments and 6,000 likes.
Stocking up
The woman later explained to the Manchester Evening News how both she and her mum have found the gel effective for sciatica and arthritis.
She said: "I've only been using it for two months with my pain but my mother who is really ill with arthritis and other problems has been using it for years.
"As soon as I applied it within 10 minutes the pain eased. I've tried all the Deep Heats and doctor's creams and for me it does the job. I just need to stock up on it now."
She's not the only one who has praised the muscle gel.
Bought a tub this afternoon and it has been fabulous
Facebook userResponding to the original post, another social media user posted a picture of the Freeze Gel, saying: "To whomever posted about the Poundland Freezegel - thank you so much.
"My husband has been suffering with sciatica and related back pain for over four months. He’s been on various pain killers, rubs, creams, exercises, private physiotherapy but with very little relief.
"Bought a tub this afternoon and it has been fabulous.

"Not completely pain free but it certainly has made him a lot more comfortable after one application! He’s hopeful for a full night’s sleep."
It's thought to work in a similar way to Biofreeze, which creates a cooling sensation that overrides pain signals to the brain.
The menthol-based formula, which retails at about £9.99 for a 118ml tube, stimulates cold receptors to help relieve pain - the same way ice does, but faster.
