DOCTOR Who fans reckon the show’s re-designed sonic screwdriver is a bit time-lewd — as it  resembles  a sex toy.

The multi-function device has been given a new look  for the first female Doctor.

It  was   unveiled this week in a  campaign to introduce Jodie Whittaker as the 13th Time Lord.

But its soft, smooth curves have left many sniggering that it looks just  like a vibrator.

Giorgiana Izvercian posted online: “More like sonic screwdildo.” Another said: “Nice to see I’m not the only one thinking...#sextoy.”

Frederik Egger tweeted: “I bet it has three settings.” Michael Ries replied: “Yeah.. slow..fast..and exterminate!!”

Stacy Embry commented: “Truly an unfortunate design.

“It’s more something in a nightstand than a Tardis.”

And Darren Greenidge remarked: “You’d think the BBC would have noticed and asked for a redesign being a family show.”
